For Kenzo’s SS24 collection, Creative Director Nigo harks back to post-war Japan and the emergence of the city pop music genre. The era - which happened to occur around the same time as some of founder Kenzo Takada’s biggest career milestones - is reimagined for the youth of today with a mix of retro and exuberant details. This cotton shirt is one such example. It’s cut to a boxy, Hawaiian-inspired silhouette, complete with a camp collar, and finished with the brand’s colourful orange embroidered at the chest.
Founded in 1970 by Japanese-born Kenzo Takada, Kenzo combines a bold and playful energy with a minimalist sensibility, to create a unique, eclectic aesthetic. Known for its iconic tiger motif, vibrant colours and patterns, statement dresses, oversized sweatshirts and playful accessories bring a sense of fun experimentation to everyday dressing.
