Drawing inspiration from utilitarian designs, the womenswear team created this shirt to double up in function as a blazer. It's crafted from structured cotton-denim in a dark-indigo hue and outlined with tobacco topstitching that accentuates the notch lapels. It's finished with shank buttons that underscore its workwear roots.
A brand whose aesthetic has been so influential that it’s hard to remember what went before. But when COS launched in 2007 against a backdrop of fast, trend-led fashion, its focus on minimal pieces at accessible prices was a breakthrough moment. With a focus on style over trend, it heralded a new era for interesting, modern, considered design and changed our wardrobes for the better, forever.
