The smooth, sensual lines of the Christian Louboutin Iriza pumps may be softly spoken, but the designer's inspiration for creating shoes like these is one of pure rebellion. After a visit to Paris' National Museum of African and Oceanic Arts in 1976, Mr Louboutin spotted a sign that forbade women from wearing heels, claiming they damaged the building's wooden flooring. From that moment, he endeavoured to manifest footwear that would break the rules and - most importantly - empower.

With their signature red soles, Christian Louboutin’s shoes helped define a decade. Yet his footwear extends beyond the dizzying stiletto heels he’s best known for, to classically elegant black pumps, sleek leather loafers, ankle boots, luxe sneakers and nostalgic espadrille wedges, all exuding his trademark glamour.
